New perspectives: globalisation, education and violent conflict - in memory of Jackie Kirk

On Wednesday, 13 August 2008, Jackie Kirk was killed by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan alongside three other International Rescue Committee workers. Jackie was a passionate practitioner and critical advocate on the theme of education and conflict. A special issue of Globalisation, Societies and Education has been dedicated to her.
